Do I need to create an account?
No. Agenda Cultural has no accounts, shows no ads and has no analytics.
Where do the events come from?
From the Agenda Cultural de Lisboa (agendalx.pt), published by the Câmara Municipal de Lisboa as open data under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 licence. Agenda Cultural is an independent app and is not affiliated with the Câmara Municipal de Lisboa.
An event is missing, or a date or price is wrong.
We show the city's agenda as it is published, so we do not edit events. Dates and access details can change: always confirm with the venue. If the mistake is in the agenda itself, the best place to report it is agendalx.pt; if it is the app's, write to us.
How does “Near me” work?
When you turn it on, the app asks to use your location while you are using it. The distance is worked out on the phone itself and your location is never sent to anyone. You can turn it off at any time in the iPhone's Settings.
How do I save an event? Where do saved events go?
Tap the bookmark at the end of an event, or “Save” on its detail screen. Saved events stay on your phone only, soonest first, in the Saved tab. They are not synced to other devices.
What happens when I share an event?
The app sends a link to the event. Whoever has Agenda Cultural opens it right in the app; whoever does not sees a small page that forwards them to the event on agendalx.pt.
How do I get to a venue?
On an event's detail screen, the directions button opens Apple Maps or, if you have them installed, lets you choose Google Maps, Waze or Citymapper.
Can I change the language or use dark mode?
Yes, inside the app: the language button shows the language a tap switches to, and another button switches between light and dark. The app is in English and Portuguese.
Which devices does it run on?
iPhone and iPad with iOS and iPadOS 18 or later, including iPhone Duo, where the inner display shows the month and the day's events side by side.
What do you do with my data?
We do not collect data about you. Read the privacy policy for the details.
